Your Cranial Prosthesis May Be Covered
A cranial prosthesis is a medical device, not a cosmetic product. Because it is prescribed by a physician to treat medical hair loss, many health insurance plans cover part or all of the cost. This applies to conditions like alopecia, chemotherapy-related hair loss, burns, and other medically documented causes. Coverage varies by provider, plan, and diagnosis.
